IMPORTANT NOTICE:
With any Alternative Symphony event our main concern is the health and safety of our attendees, staff and performers. All our events are currently being placed under review. Our events are currently under review for safety, logistics and postponed dates due to restrictions placed on large events by the government as part of their strategy to prevent the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus).
Alternative Symphony and the crew have been working tirelessly for a whole year to deliver you what we hoped would be our best tour ever. We have invested more than we ever have into this year’s shows and to have it pulled from under our feet so close to the events is absolutely heartbreaking. However, we acknowledge that your health and safety must always be our first concern.
We want to take a moment to thank everybody for their support as always, from our amazing host venues, artists, performers, booking agents and of course you, our Alternative Symphony family. If you’ve been to one of our shows you’ll know they are highly produced and there is a lot of us so we all thank you for bearing with us.
If the events are cancelled we will have a refund sent out to all ticket holders.
We will aim to have information regarding the status of our shows with you in the next coming weeks, we are looking at various alternatives to ensure the best outcome for all parties involved. We appreciate so much in advance your consideration during this tough time.

Message from the promoter:
I’m afraid there is no easy way to go about this situation however we are closing operations in Canada and as far as I know Alternative Symphony will be under new management . Majority of the customers for our cancelled Canada shows should have now been issued refunds, I’m assuming these will be the ones you haven’t heard from. However please advise those who are still waiting to contact their credit card / debit card issuer and request a charge back.
Unfortunately, COVID has absolutely destroyed our international operations and we’ve suffered a huge loss as a result. Our intentions were always to run a great show, as we did with yourselves for the DRE show around New Years however, our plan was to invest a huge amount of capital into our DRE shows to establish a brand; that we could recoup this in our Daft Punk shows. As a result of another huge investment for these shows, which includes, production, extra performers, better backline etc… and then having to refund everybody we’ve been left at a serious minus deficit.
I’ve personally met with insolvency groups and it seems putting the company under and ceasing trading is our only option. We’ve loved working with Alternative Symphony however its not feasible for us to continue managing them in Canada when the company is barely surviving and we only have myself left willing to work for no fee. Unfortunately, I am left with a decision to step down from my roll and look for work in other sectors and closer to home.
I personally appreciate everything you’ve done for us, and will never forget the amazing show we had at your venue in January! I hope you understand this was in no way intentional or malicious and I only have the up most respect for you and your venue.
I welcome you to forward this email to customers, I will be working through a list of names / emails I have to contact those personally and apologise and assist them.
Please advise customers that any fault is with the promotor and not the venue, you have been not only but great to me and the group when managing them.
